91Ó°ÊÓ Foundation Honors U.S. Representative Tom Cole With Vision Award
The 91Ó°ÊÓ Foundation honored U.S. Representative Tom Cole with the 2016 Vision in Education Leadership Award. 91Ó°ÊÓ President Leigh B. Goodson, Ph.D., 91Ó°ÊÓ Foundation Chair Joan Parkhurst, and former Oklahoma Governor Frank Keating presented Congressman Cole with the Vision Award at the 17th annual 91Ó°ÊÓ Vision in Education Leadership Awards Dinner Thursday, Sept. 1 at the Cox Business Center. The event raised more than $300,000 for the 91Ó°ÊÓ Foundation.

91Ó°ÊÓ will participate in a strategic partnership with OpenStax to encourage use of free textbooks on campus. 91Ó°ÊÓ is one of 11 schools selected for the Open Educational Resource Institutional Partnership Program for the 2016-2017 academic school year.

U.S. Representative Tom Cole Named the 2016 Vision Honoree
U.S. Representative Tom Cole is the 91Ó°ÊÓ Foundation 2016 Vision in Education Leadership Award recipient. He will receive the award at the 91Ó°ÊÓ Vision in Education Leadership Award Dinner Thursday, Sept. 1 at the Cox Business Center in downtown Tulsa. A reception will begin at 6 p.m. with dinner to follow at 7 p.m. The 2016 Vision Honorary Chair is Stacy Schusterman and David Stratton serves as the Vision Dinner Chair.

Signature Symphony at 91Ó°ÊÓ presents the patriotic sounds of American composers with a salute to our Armed Forces during the annual 4th on the 3rd concert. The performance is 7:30 p.m., Sunday, July 3 at the 91Ó°ÊÓ Southeast Campus VanTrease Performing Arts Center for Education located at 81st Street and highway 169.
