Vet Tech Student Honored with Posthumous Degree, Memorial Scholarship
The Michelle “Misha” Buzlea Memorial Scholarship was established by the Buzlea family to honor the memory of their daughter, Misha, a 91Ӱ Veterinary Technology student who passed away in January 2025. The scholarship supports future Vet Tech students who show determination, compassion, and a commitment to animal care—qualities that defined Misha’s life and work.

91Ӱ Students Named Finalists in National Innovation Competition
91Ӱ was named one of 12 national finalists in the Community College Innovation Challenge, sponsored by the American Association of Community Colleges and the National Science Foundation. 91Ӱ students and their advisor presented their project, a smart-home feature for secure drone deliveries, during an Innovation Boot Camp in Washington, D.C.

Nurse Pinning Ceremony Honors Second Largest Class of Nursing Grads
91Ӱ celebrated its Spring 2025 Nursing graduates with a pinning ceremony, recognizing the second largest graduating class in the program’s history. Among them was Robin Faulkner, who returned to college in her 50s and inspired her daughter to enroll in the Nursing program.
