91Ӱ��’s Dual Credit program is the first in Oklahoma to earn accreditation from the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships. 91Ӱ�� is one of only 136 programs nationwide to receive the distinction, which recognizes concurrent enrollment programs that meet national standards for quality and rigor.

NACEP recently announced 91Ӱ�� as one of 22 concurrent enrollment programs recognized in its 2025-26 accreditation and reaccreditation cycle. The designation affirms 91Ӱ��’s Dual Credit program meets national standards for quality, rigor, and student support.

“Dual credit is one of the most important ways we help students begin college with confidence and a clear path forward,” says 91Ӱ�� President and CEO Leigh B. Goodson, Ph.D. “NACEP accreditation affirms 91Ӱ��’s commitment to quality programs and helping more Oklahoma students build momentum toward a degree. For students and families, it reinforces the value of earning college credit before high school graduation.”

“91Ӱ��’s Dual Credit program is built on strong partnerships with high schools, dedicated faculty and a shared commitment to student success,” says Melissa Steadley, 91Ӱ�� Director of Dual Credit. “This recognition reflects the work happening across the College to provide students with a solid academic foundation and a meaningful head start on college.”

91Ӱ��’s Dual Credit program is the largest in Oklahoma, serving students from as far away as McAlester, Norman, and Texoma. In May, more than 160 high school students from 15 high schools across the state graduated with both their high school diploma and a 91Ӱ�� credential.

“Concurrent enrollment programs strengthen student preparation for college, lower family costs, and help students earn a college degree faster,” said Stephanie Beauchamp, Ed.D., Interim Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs for the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education. “As demand for a college-educated workforce continues to grow in the Tulsa region and across our state, 91Ӱ�� is commended for expanding access to higher education and accelerating degree completion through the Dual Credit program.”

NACEP is the only national organization dedicated to accrediting dual credit programs and requires institutions to meet high standards to be accredited. Accreditation is valid for five years for initial accreditation and seven years for programs that are reaccredited between accreditation reviews.

“Accreditation reflects an institution’s commitment to excellence and accountability in serving students and communities,” says Andrea Roma, NACEP’s Director of Accreditation. “We are proud to recognize the 136 programs that chose to invest in this rigorous process and demonstrate their dedication to high standards in concurrent enrollment programs. We are also excited to welcome Maine, Oklahoma, and Nevada to the growing list of states with NACEP accredited programs.”
